📷 Diane· November 2019 My boyfriend and I really enjoyed learning to make dumplings with Apple and another couple in our group. The five of us made (and ate) over 100 dumplings in 3 hours, including some with wrappers that we made from scratch -- just dough, water, and a lot of kneading! Apple was extremely friendly, knowledgeable about dumpling making, and enthusiastic about both telling her stories and listening to ours. We visited a hidden Chinese supermarket in Chinatown to buy ingredients and then made the dumplings in Apple's apartment. Apple did a great job of explaining and distributing the different roles so that everyone could have a turn at almost every role and leave this experience able to make dumplings from scratch on their own. It's awesome that Apple shares this Chinese familial culinary experience with so many people -- I highly recommend joining if you are visiting Philadelphia!
